Introduction

Well, here we are!

My name is Kristina Risling and I am here to share my journey and own self help tips for mental health. I have had anxiety and depression for as long as I can remember, but I didn’t truly realize it until my early twenty‘s. In my teen years, I had gone through some traumatic experiences (will share in a later post), these experiences really triggered the anxiety and depression that was always there but never fully showed. As the years went on, controlling my anxiety got unbearable and to the point that I had to make a change or I would be stuck in this mindset for who knows how long. It was ruining my relationships, friendships and my working environment because not only did I not understand what was happening in my own head, I also wasn’t sharing it with those so close to me.

Now that I have a better grasp on my mental health in general, I want to be able to share my thoughts, ideas and help those who need it most. I really hope starting ABetterYou will show others that they are not alone and it is possible to make a change for the better.
